Primary Purpose:

Perform the duties for substitute teaching as assigned by the principal

 

 
Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

 

Experience:

None

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform the duties of the job position
  2. Notify the school office of any serious problems
  3. Follow as closely as you can to the schedule of job
  4. Complete taskes left for you by staff or professional in charge
  5. Record information for the returning employee
  6. Abide by substitute policies
  7. Report on time, report for any assigned duty, and work through the end of the stated sub hours

Maintain emotional control under stress; Ability to follow instructions 

 

Tools/ Equipment Used:

Personal computer, copier, and printer. You may need to be able to use specialized equipment related to students with assistive technology

 

Posture:

Standing for long periods of time, frequent stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment. May require lifting up to 30 lbs.
