Enhance parent/school communication, increasing opportunities for parents and guardians to participate as partners with the school in the academic and social growth of their children. Organize activities to increase parent involvement.

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of campus instructional operations and school community demographics Ability to work with culturally diverse community of educators, students, parents, and community members Ability to present to parents, students, principals, and campus staff Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Bilingual Required

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Parent and Community Relations
- Serves as the liaison between parents, teachers, and school personnel. Coordinates parenting sessions and activities at the campus level. Communicates issues of interest to parents through various formats. Provides information to families regarding public and private resources available.
- Consistently monitor student attendance and grades; creates and maintains student attendance and grade monitoring/tracking reports and shares them with the appropriate administrators; collaborates with the assigned campus administrator and participates in all student attendance/grade meetings with the administrator; maintains all documentation of parent student meetings, agendas, and action based
agreements; facilitates the electronic documentation of all activities addressing student attendance/truancy.
- Consistently investigates and identifies causal factors of student attendance and grade issues; develops and maintains electronic documentation of results based action steps to address the identified causal factors; communicates and collaborates with parent, student, and appropriate administrator in all steps of the process.
- Makes recommendations of truancy filing to the District Parent Liaison and provides all documentation required by the court for the District Parent Liaison to successfully file truancy claims for students who have not maintained minimum compulsory attendance requirements.
- Refers student/parent needs as appropriate to the District Social Worker.
- Maintains detailed electronic documentation and call/meeting/activity logs concerning all daily/hourly efforts including but not limited to student attendance, grades, parent and student communication, meetings, and consultations; truancy filing referrals to the District Parent Liaison, referrals to the District Social Worker, and records of all activities engaged in on a daily basis.
- Maintains, communicates, and posts Campus parent compacts and policies as required.
- Maintains all documentation of any parent activity/event on campus to upload to data collection system
- Maintain confidentiality of student, parent, and employee personal information.
- Performs home visits.
- All other duties as assigned.
Policies, Reports, and Law
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; multi-line phone system
Posture:
Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion:
Frequent walking; Frequent keyboarding and use of mouse.
Lifting:
Regular light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds); Occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds and over); may be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchair or assist with positioning of students with disabilities
Environment:
Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise; regular districtwide travel to student homes
Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress; may work prolonged or irregular hours
